In my practice, I utilize many tools to "read" a person. Astrology is always incorporated into the session, and assists me in guiding them in a direction that will lead them to self-empowerment. This column is my opportunity to share those astrological insights. I hope to help others to understand how, by simply paying attention to the planets, stars and your inner voice, you can become empowered within your career, personal, and spiritual lives. Much of the information I will share is intuited rather than charted, along with suggestions to help you through the month.

Astrology is the study of the universe. How the planets move through your life is revealed through your sun sign, which is calculated by your birth month, day, year, time and location. A complete chart is then devised to tell you where the planets fall in your various "houses." There are houses for career, health, romance, spirituality, creativity and so on. As we spin on our own planet, the degree to which our sun sign falls within the universe will affect our lives in very powerful ways. If we choose to embrace the power and work with it, then we will be learning to work with the universe to our advantage.
