MEDITATION IS A TRIP

While talking to my friend this evening, she brought up the subject of Meditation. She found it difficult to sit still for any great length of time, she said, yet she could sit for hours on end when reading a book. When you pick up a good book, she said, you could travel to any location or time period, meet any person and do anything you desire. What my friend didn’t realize is that the act of reading was actually meditation, too. You see, meditation can take any form you wish it to. This act is one of the most profound ways to meditate. There is joy in getting lost in the passages and pages of words as the messages inside are revealed.

So, the next time you want to meditate, visit your library or local bookstore and stock up. Then find yourself a comfortable chair, open to the first page, and let your journey begin.

Blessings of God,
Major
