REVOLVING DOORS

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens." That powerful little saying was the contribution of Helen Keller, a woman of profound insight, and deep, spiritual vision. It has become a universal belief with no religious tie, and is a phrase that predicts hope for the future as we accept the endings in our lives.

For some, this time of year may bring many relationships and situations to an end. Physical passings, relocations, quarrels and the plain old lack of time will contribute to closing many a door as the year winds down. It is important to recognize those endings and give them each proper closure. To do so will ensure that soon, doors will open with new friendships, better locations, a life without quarrels, and perhaps even more time to relax and enjoy life.

When you sit down at your holiday table this Thanksgiving, give a special prayer of gratitude for those revolving doors of your life. They help you keep the past in perspective while encouraging you to celebrate the blessings of your new future. Your spirit will rejoice, and your life will become more positive.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Blessings of God,
Major
