EMBRACING THE UNIVERSE EXPANDS TO THE METAVERSE

Second Life (secondlife.com) is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents, but the interpretation of that world changes depending on whom you ask. Some call it a game, some call it a creative medium, some call it the next evolution of the Internet, and for some it’s a place just as real as the world they live in. People create a likeness of themselves called an avatar; they meet others, buy and sell land, conduct business and have relationships.

It’s a remarkable place where anything is possible, and for that reason Linda Lauren has taken up residence. Under the name of Monica Renneville, she has created an extension of her Mountainside, New Jersey Metaphysical Center, and also created one in Second Life, called Monica Renneville’s Embracing the Universe (ETU).

The virtual center serves the same purpose as the brick-and-mortar location, as a place to get spiritual goods, services and tools that can be used in everyday life, as well as a place to learn, meditate, grow and connect with like-minded people.

Linda’s (or Monica’s…depending on who you ask) presence is growing there, as well. Starting with a center on a small parcel of land, Monica now owns a large private island. People from all across the globe come to her island, to ‘be embraced’ at her virtual metaphysical center, shop for virtual and real world goods, get Psychic Medium Readings, enjoy the cozy Café-like discussion area named Coffee and Spirituali-Tea, and attend lectures at her Embracing The Universe-ity.

There are big plans in the works for ETU, from classes and mixers to groundbreaking charity events. ETU is growing every day, adding new staff from across the globe as well as new features and products.
